Short trip to Germany and Scotland

It’s 9 o’clock in the morning, August 20<sup>th</sup> 2011. Breakfast consumed, bike loaded and I’m ready to roll. Let’s go! I’m only on the road for a little over an hour before the rain starts coming down heavy around Birmingham so I pull over into a refuge area at the side of the M6 to quickly put waterproofs on. Just 10 minutes later and the rain has stopped. Typical.
